If elected MMDCEs fail to bring development to their areas, they would be voted out. It is not that they'll sabotage the president. That's why it is going to be non-partisan affair. I strongly disagree with the president nominating 5 candidates. The elections of MMDCE must not entertain any political influence from anywhere.

Mr Mahama and the NDC opposed the presidential nomination of candidates to contest the DCE back then when in opposition. Why are they going the same route. The election of DCE should be by the people and for the people. The DCEs should be accountable to the people they govern, and not to the presidency. The current system has failed to achieve its purpose, and must be discontinued.
We don't want any whitewashed election of DCEs. Let democracy prevail in Ghana.

They have not been performing because they always claim to be working for the president but not the people of their constituencies
