The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, Francis Asenso Boakye, has commended delegates, the Electoral Commission (EC), and the Ghana Police Service for ensuring a peaceful, orderly, and transparent constituency executive election.

Addressing the media after the declaration of results, the lawmaker stated that the conduct of the polls demonstrates that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) remains the gold standard for democratic governance in Ghana and across Africa.

He pledged his commitment to working closely with the newly elected executive team to execute a unified campaign strategy aimed at securing victory in the 2028 general elections and electing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the next President of Ghana.

Highlighting the democratic maturity displayed during the contest, the MP praised the outgoing constituency chairman, Fiifi Mensah, who lost his seat to Kingsley Atta, for an early concession and personally congratulating the winner.

"Going into any election, everyone understands that you can either win or lose. The former Chairman coming over to congratulate his successor is a remarkable sign of sportsmanship and maturity. I urge all other candidates who lost to follow this good example." The MP noted.

He equally charged the newly elected executives to be humble and gracious in victory by reaching out to their opponents to build a strong, reconciled front.

"Those who won must be gracious and bring everybody on board. Without unity, we cannot achieve anything. All those who contested are dedicated party members, and we need everyone's strength." He stated.

Reaffirming his role as the political leader of the constituency, the MP emphasised that his primary duty moving forward is to bridge all internal divides and align the party's grassroots structures for the 2028 election.

"As the Member of Parliament and leader of this constituency, my duty is to bring everybody together so we can prosecute our agenda effectively. We have a solid track record of policies and programs from our time in government, and with a united front, I am confident we will achieve victory in 2028." He concluded.
