The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) constituency elections held on July 26, 2026, in Nyankumase Ahenkro, saw the election of 11 constituency executives.

The election was keenly contested between the teams of the incumbent MP, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, and another team purported to be supported by some opposing forces eyeing the seat, as well as, some internal party bigwigs at the National level who consider Hon Ntim Fordjour a threat.

The elections were initially contentious as it was injuncted by a group who intended to unduly disrupt due internal processes and election guidelines.

This injunction deferred the election from the originally scheduled July 11 to yesterday, July 26, 2026.

Eventually, all the contestants believed to be the loyalists of the incumbent MP won by a landslide, with each averaging 60% of total votes cast.

This is a testament to the fact that the grassroots of the party have kept faith in their MP, in a season where many of the incumbents have lost their positions.
