Ghanaians will be very happy if Bagbin resigns now because he is not doing a good job as Speaker of Parliament. In fact, Bernard Ahiafor has more or less taken over as Speaker as Bagbin is never at the Chamber to lead deliberations in the house. Bagbin is weak, undisciplined, uncharismatic and totally unable to maintain law and order in the Parliament. Often, his utterances are senseless and unintelligent. He is no where near some of the best Speakers of Parliament which we have had such as the late Justice Annan, etc.
