Can 10,000 kilometres of road vanish within 8 years? NPP, Nana Addo, Bawumia and the roads minister simply wasted our resources in the name of building roads. This was just a conduit to loot and steal.

Transparency in road management, community engagement and participation through town hall meetings, stakeholder engagements including beneficiaries of road projects will counteract any deception and deceptive claims by politicians. Roads are not built on papers. They exist in time and space and the beneficiaries are the populace. Give the people the trope of road, the name of the road contractor, the time frame for the road to be constructed, the distance, those to be affected, the expected quality of road, etc and the people can police the contractors. The challenge is the issue of political contractors deliberately formed by political parties through which monies are siphoned to finance political parties. In the end shoddy jobs are executed, no accountability, innocent lives are lost on terribly bad engineered roads etc. The politician and the pastor may not die but their immediate family members may. We need patriotic citizens who owe allegiance to the state and not their tribal and corrupt political parties.
