The Trump administration has already formulated its foreign policy against certain countries. No amount of talks would get them change in the interim. Even the closest ally of American, Canada is being dealt with badly, and this policy has seen travel between both countries drop over 40%. Nigeria and Ethiopia have been served the same single-visa entry. We should not retaliate but allow American passports holders to come to Ghana. Many of the American travellers to Ghana, are actually Ghanaian- Americans, who speak Twi, Ga, Ewe or Dagomba.

Does any right thinking person think Ghana can actually influence US foreign policy? US only does things to further it's interest, and in this case Ghanaians and Nigerians and few other countries who overstay their visa. By shortening the lengh of the visa, they are able to keep a close eye on those who overstay, that is the only motivation. Nothing more, nothing less.

No political party's success in Ghana in hinged on what the USA does with its visa reforms back in the USA. Mahama should know better not to listen to this confused Koku, for even the dead President Mills has refused to pay any heed to Koku and his useless talk.
