Change the names fast. Anything NPP should quickly be reset. Don't forget to change the name of the seat of government to Flagstaff house.

Oh politicians, will these name changing affect the quality of education at these universities? The previous name change was unnecessary, but should we waste our limited resources just to change names?
It means that you don't understand what naming something after someone means. Why don't they allow everyone to submit their name for balloting to choose a name for important landmarks? Go ask if you don't know

Changing the wine bottle does not affect the taste of the wine. Upgrade ("reset", to borrow your jargon) the universities for better quality outcomes rather than cheap, easy cosmetic changes.
