What should initially be done is to refer to documents relating to Bryan Acheampong and his hotel at the Registrar Gen Dept and the GRA. If those documents do not clarify the source of income for building what is said to be the biggest hotel in Africa, then of course, that will open the doors for proper investigation.

As the Ghanaian population continues to get access to better education and we become more enlightened, decent and cultured, not many people would like to be part of such a political tradition.

The NPP and its antecedents however, have committed brazen acts of what is known as actual acts of terrorism on the leaders and people of this country since the early 50s when they were not in govt.

The man gave a clear reason for the boycott!
Below are the 2 reasons:

1. Speaker Bagbin in 2023, said they could not afford to hold their retreat in a hotel outside Accra then, because there was no money!
2. From the SONA of president Mahama, there is no money in the government's coffers now, 2025 worse than 2025!

Conclusion: As the financial situation of Ghana is worse in 2025 compared to 2 years ago, 2023, it does not make sense for parliament to go outside Accra for their orientation. It should be done in Accra else they cannot participate because it will be double standards which they do not want to be involved in!
If it was a different Speaker apart from Bagbin who took the decision this year, it could be accepted on grounds that, the new Speaker has a different opinion, but being the same Bagbin who took that decision 2 years ago, it is not acceptable for him to change this year, as it signifies double standards and politically motivated by the chosen venues between the 2 different years, 2023 and 2025

Volta Serene venue was a far better place devoid of conflict of interest tagging than the Rock City hotel being used as an excuse for the boycott of the parliamentary business in Ho.
