Intellectual Criminals in government and politics (NPP & NDC) will continue to steal from you all Ghanaians consider to be like fools because no one prosecute and none of them has been fully prosecuted to suffer their wrongdoings. This is why you need to stand up ask your MPs to change the constitution and end all political appointments as new strategy to progress and develop faster, because if all top public officials are elected by votes, corruption will end or reduce drastically and every competent Ghanaian will also get the chance to serve in government or solve problems in Ghana without any political attachment or appointment. This is the fuckn simple solution to the problems of Ghana and nothing else. Top officials will act well and discipline themselves to be elected into office by competition rather than appointments used as investment to enrich the pockets of only those who have money to support political campaigns or to contribute to parties.

That Pastor Mills' unique unpatriotic stance was what set him and Jerry John at loggerheads with each other; for instance, the refusal to investigate Akufo-Addo's handling of the MoFA with its serious corruption activities that ended in the Ministry getting burned when Mills suddenly won.

Also, Jerry John's insistence that Mills shut government activities (as soon as he was confirmed to have won the presidency), to forestall theft of government vehicles including the numerous expensive ones bought during Ghana@50 and destruction files, went unheeded, and things happened exactly as JJ predicted. Mills demurred! The consequence of that was, some 968 vehicles were stolen by the NPP within the first week, and updated to 1006 in three weeks! Even common drivers stole the vehicles they drove.

If you checked Senegal when Macky Sall won the presidency after Abdulaye Wade, the agility to shut government immediately saved so many vehicles and files as hundreds of government workers were caught trying to do exactly as NPP did; to steal and destroy files!

In JJ's position, I would also have appointed Mills to the position he held after because he wasn't a person interested dire Ghana type political adventurism that includes theft and eyes set on exaggerated possession of material at the expense of the electorate. Mills was honest and dedicate BUT he was more of a pastor, and pastors can't rule effectively and efficiently. Rawlings imposed him on NDC by force, 'jumping the queue' to the disgust of those who thought it was their turn. And JJ made enemies with that.

Mills' problem was having been teased by NPP that he was going to be a JJ's poodle undermined his flanks and wisdom. In the end, he made Ghana's politics worse by his refusal to prosecute those who did wrong including Kufuor the thief himself.

But the real intension of the NDCs - and their sharp-teeth babies - was to also loot and become very rich like their compatriots in the other camp. Rawlings never gave them that chance during his reign. Thus, they pissed-off Rawlings and Rawlings was really pissed-off with them.

To most Ghanaians who can remember Jerry Rawlings was so furious with JDM administration that he openly call them corrupt and does not want to have anything with that administration? The biggest among them was the jubilee celebrations expenditure trial involving Mr Kojo Mpianim and Dr Charles Wereko Brobbey, the government lost.
The NDC also prosecuted Mr Osei Adjei who was the last Foreign.Minister in Kufour's government on some rice importation transaction with the Indian government, the government lost. Mr. Asamoah Boateng's wife was prosecuted, that also failed.
Infact it became embarrassing that all the cases the Mills government took to court based on a tall list of corruption allegations that they presented to Ghanaians when they were in opposition crumbled. Including the unfortunate passing of the late Yanaa.
The NDC when in opposition said they knew those who committed that heinous crime so when they came to power about nineteen people were arrested and kept in custody. After one year of trial , they were all set free.
These and many others all failed to the chagrin of many NDC followers resulting in agitations including the burning of the NDC regional office in the then northern region.
What Professor Mills didn't do was to harass Kufour as in the view of president Rawlings happened to him under president kufour. For instance the withdraw of his diplomatic privileges, being hauled before the national reconciliation commission, and others.
This lead to the poor personal relationship between Mills and Rawlings.

The AG Mills appointed was so incompetent like Akufo Addo the Kufiuir administration first AG whose lack of appreciation of common procedures led to Kufuor's government losing their biggest case ie The infamous "The president vrs Tsatsu Tsikata".instead of"The Republic Vrs Tsatsu Tsikata. Betty Mould as AG was so useless and presented cases against some Kufuir appointees and the government lost all on technical grounds. Remember Dr Wireku-Brobby's Ghana at 50 trial. When a commission setup by the government report was used as the basis of a criminal trial. The former Foreign Minister under kuffuor after Akufo-Addo resigned one Osei.....was put before court and the state lost. Even Stephen Asamoah Boateng was prosecuted but the state lost. Fortunately some us were adults and can cite many examples of Kufuir appointees put before court under Mills but were all acquitted and discharged. Some making Chrust out of the good Professor. He was a good man but don't try to create a image of him that he wasn't. For a law professor to have been aware of a crime and told you you he wasn't going to prosecute makes him a criminal if we stretch the logic.

However, a number of Prez. Kufour's appointees, civil/public servants, including Asamoah Boateng, were put before the courts. There was no evidence to convict them, and the courts dismissed the cases. Surprisingly, the Attorney General did not appeal against the courts verdict. It was such embarrassing loses that necessitated the dismissal of Betty Mould Iddrisu ,the Attorney-General, following cabinet reshuffle. Spio must stop the lies.
