This man seems to have a very naive view of many policy problems. Many people in Ghana do not complain about the progressive nature of the income tax system. It is the inability of the GRA to enforce compliance. Unless there is an incentive for me to report to the tax authorities the amount of money that I pay the plumber who comes to work in my house, the plumber would evade income tax. There are many such trades men who would evade tax. It will also not be possible to use Presumptive Taxation to cover all of them. The society has to evolve to a point where these people employ only certified and registered trades men Taxation is going to be with us. Unless the government compels thite paying disclosures a lot of Christians will avoid paying tax yo Caesar..
