The struggle for independence was not by Nkrumah alone even though he gained independence for the country. Founders Day has to do with people who struggled even before Nkrumah came to the scene. They all helped in founding the country now called Ghana. It’s unfortunate we have forgotten about those souls and all we think of is Nkrumah. Do you know the role played by Paa Grant, Ako Adjei, Kwegyir Aggrey, Obetsebi Lamptey, and even Corporal Attipoe and co? Please you guys should give us a break. I think Akuffo Addo has rather celebrated Nkrumah more than any president. Were we celebrating Nkrumah’s birthday? Independence Day is still attributed to him. He’s mentioned in Founders Day. Now what else do you want Akuffo Addo to do? Call the constitution Nkrumah’s Constitution? Mahama is a used clothe. He’s needed at Kantamanto to be sold for cheap.

From the basic school to the university all we know is the big six which Nkrumah was one of them. What were the big six doing? I can say that the issue of the Founder's day was to trick the CPP to believe that your party was Nkrumahist just for their votes. Even the late Dr. Limann's PNP, a purely CPP never ventured to institute a Founder's day because he and his party leaders knew the country was not founded by one person. So Mr. Mahama stop the cheap politics of Founder's day. Ghana wasn't founded by Kwame Nkrumah, period.
