The former president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has joined the country to mourn 6 of the 8 fallen heroes who perished in the August 6 fatal helicopter crash.
The ceremony is a solemn celebration of the lives of the Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah; Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology and MP for Tamale Central, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed; Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Muniru Mohammed; National Democratic Congress Vice Chairman, Dr Samuel Sarpong; and Deputy Director-General of NADMO, Samuel Aboagye.
Among those gathered too are also several personalities from across the country, alongside their families and friends.

The former president, accompanied by his wife, is making his first public appearance since the tragic incident during this funeral service on August 15, 2025.

Former President John Agyekum Kufour and the former Vice President, Dr Bawumia, are also present at the funeral service.
The fatal incident occurred on August 6, 2025, at Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region.
Tributes, eulogies, songs and hymns have characterised the ceremony, highlighting the immense contributions the fallen 8 have made to Ghana.
