What do you mean he is causing a mess? The person that the President has appointed will be acting till all the constitutional process are carried through and you call it a mess? After all what is the council of elders going to do that will be different from what the President has done? It is rather our constitution which is a mess. If we have a parliament which can vet the president's appointees then why the need for a council of elders? The council of elders is just there by name and I think it is not necessary. You see the constitution was designed or formulated to suit one person and that is Rawlings. The indemnity clause for instance and the appointment of a certain percentage of ministers from parliament are some of flaws in the constitution which enabled Rawlings to continue to rule. Why is it that members of the council of elders are not elected like how members of parliament are elected and be present to advise the president from day one after his swearing in? For our constitution to perform a better job I think it requires a total overhaul in order for it to suit all but not one person. After all the president has also appointed certain individuals to be his advisors in specific areas. So seriously what does the council of elders do. The council is a drain on our coffers and must be done with.
