In any civilized democratic country, the minister of interior or the police chief would have left office by now because they failed Ghanaians miserably. Immediately after the electoral violence, NDC officials started to propagate that it was a mob fight between NDC and NPP supporters, and the interior minister shamefully joined in and said that "violence begets violence". He forgot that it was his duty through the security forces to investigate the matter thoroughly and tell Ghanaians who did what since arms and thumb-printed ballot papers were confiscated from people.
These specific crimes or exhibits could have led us to the real criminals behind the shootings and stuffing of ballot boxes. But our unprofessional police preferred to toe the line of those in power by claiming that they were going to prosecute ghosts rather than follow the available leads. In the recent suicide bombing that took place at a mosque in Kuwait, the security officers identified and arrested the owner of the car that took the suicide bomber to the mosque and followed it up with arrest of the driver. From there, the investigations led to the masterminds and accomplishes of the heinous crime.
Why can't our security forces investigate the leads or exhibits that could lead us to the bigger picture, rather than gloss over them as if they confiscated the AK-47s, cutlasses and thumb-printed ballot papers from the air? Our security forces, like the government including Mr. Woyongo, are trying to generalize the issue and incriminate others to enable them bury the truth between Azorka boys and Bolga Bulldogs so as to blindfold Ghanaians and cover the government's own tracks. Ghanaians deserve better.

Bro,you're more knowledgeable and much smarter than the average Ghanaian who is more politically partisan, more inclined to be influenced by tribal prejudice, having their heads in the clouds or buried in the sands all year round, having a stoical indifference to the causes of poverty and unmitigated by any hope of early relief. There are no justifiable reasons for the perennial chronic and re-cycled poverty and under-development in a country that has more than adequate natural and human resources.
Our political leaders are in office for themselves and for very narrow-minded political agenda. For example, there's no Minister of Interior or the Police in the developed world who will still have a job after the mob violence that characterized the Talensi by-election especially when no arrests were made on the actual day or few days after the organized and politically motivated violence and rather chose to make very controversial and self-incriminating comments about the regrettable violence that was preventable.

What happened @ Talensi is sickening.
However, I cannot fathom why Ghanaians and especially the poor will allow themselves to be bought (whatever sums of money) for amounts of money that can take care of them for say a mere one month of a calendar year, at most. Are we this stupid ? Are we immune to suffering for the next eleven months of the calendar year ?
This kind of behavior leaves me speechless.
If the ordinary Ghanaian does not fight for his/her rights, who do they think will be doing the fight for them ?
Ghana and indeed Africa is the darkest of all countries & continents.
What a Shame !!!

Humanism, it is up to you to do the education in your village so that the illiterates and poor people who are exploited by politicians for their own selfish interest would stop. The people are very ignorant and politicians are aware of this fact and so they exploit their ignorance and poverty to get into power with just a pittance. Until our people are a bid educated, I am afraid this will continue for many ages. In a country where there is high poverty, illiteracy and ethnocentrism, you can be sure that smart politicians would continue to exploit these loopholes in our weak democracy. We are just enjoying a semblance of democracy and not true democracy.

Is there any correlation between the two towns that saw election violence? That said, NDC and Mahama have vowed to rig the next election and dare anyone to try to match them. NDC is of the view that they in power and can use the state power to intimidate their opponents. May God forbid but if they invite any violence coming the next election, what should not exit their shallow minds is that some leaders were in power but were kicked out of office and they are no exception.
Saddam Hussein was kicked out of office. Gaddafi was another victim. What about Gbagbo of Ivory Coast and the Burkinabe leader?
Mahama and NDC should tread very cautiously.

Nduom comparing himself or his party to NDC or NPP is like a deer comparing himself to a lion.
In the whole country he has only 64000 supporters but he keeps comparing himself to party leaders that have over 5 million supporters in the country.
Even a five year old will not say he will form a military unit with 64 thousand fighters to fight 5 million fighters,it is insane.
