Mobil Oil pushes up bourse in moderate trading

Accra, Dec. 15, GNA - Mobil Oil Ghana Limited made a healthy gain on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) on Monday as the main index rose again in moderate trading.
The only oil company on the bourse gained 2,000 cedis at 34,000 cedis on a day that nine equities appreciated. There was no loser. The total number of shares traded was higher at 200,900 from Friday's close of 140,400.
Change for the year was better at 144.61 per cent from 142.63 per cent.
Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) was better by 308 cedis at v5,310 cedis, British American Tobacco (BAT) gained 200 cedis at 4,000 cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank gained 52 cedis at 7,752 cedis and Fan Milk Limited went up by 50 cedis at 3,750 cedis.
Unilever gained five cedis 14,026 cedis, Ghana Breweries Limited appreciated by for cedis at 1,405 cedis Home Finance Company was better by two cedis at 3,552 cedis and Mechanical Lloyd Company picked up one cedi at 661 cedis.
Total market capitalisation went up to 12,262.23 billion cedis from Friday's close of 12,192.66 billion cedis.
