Asiakwa teacher killers not juveniles – Prosecutors

Prosecutors have disclosed that accused persons standing trial in connection with the death of the Teacher of Asiakwa Salvation Army Basic School, George Somuah Bosompem are not juveniles.

Prosecution said this was based on records of the accused persons from their respective schools indicating that the accused persons are between 19 to 22 years contrary to what they told Investigators earlier.

Peter Nimo, counsel for the accused persons contested the age of the accused persons saying that they are all juveniles.

His plea for bail was not granted by the court which has remanded the accused persons into Prison Custody to reappear on May 25, 2019.

Scores of residents and teachers thronged the Kibi District Magistrate Court where the six teenagers arrested in connection with the death of the Teacher of Asiakwa Salvation Army Basic School, George Somuah Bosompem, faced trial.

They are facing charges of conspiracy to commit a crime to wit Murder, and Murder.

The six accused persons are Richard Amaning, 18, Mireku Emmanuel 17, Philip Okodie,17, Paul Boadu, 18, Ezekiel Boadu,19, and Aboagye Evans alias Otega, 18.
