A man believed to be in his 50s has been found dead with multiple knife wounds and bruises near the Buduburam Police Barrier along Aprah Road in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

The unidentified body was discovered by residents, who reportedly noticed several injuries on different parts of the deceased’s body.

According to a report by adomonline.com, preliminary observations suggest the man may have been attacked and killed elsewhere before his body was dumped by the roadside.

The Assemblyman for the Buduburam Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbe, told Adom News that the discovery had left residents unsettled, particularly because of the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The police have since conveyed the body to the morgue for preservation as investigations continue to establish the cause of death and identify the deceased.

Meanwhile, some residents say the incident is not the first of its kind in the area and have raised concerns about the lack of streetlights.

They believe poorly lit sections of the road create dark spots that could provide cover for criminals to carry out attacks.

The residents are therefore calling for improved street lighting to enhance visibility at night and help security personnel identify and apprehend those responsible for criminal activities.
