A 35-year-old taxi driver, Kwabena Awuah, also known as Asawado, has been shot and killed by unknown assailants in his taxi with registration number AW 2458-20.

The incident occurred around midnight at Kotwi-Nkoransa in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking to OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, an eyewitness, Ibrahim Gyamfi, said the deceased had a misunderstanding with his wife earlier in the evening.

“He was in the house in the evening around 8pm and had a misunderstanding which led to a fight with his wife. Around 11pm he told us he was going to work, and this morning we heard he has been killed,”Ibrahim Gyamfi stated.

According to him, Kwabena Awuah left home after 11pm to go to work, and was later found dead in his vehicle.

Police from Brofoyedru have conveyed the body of the deceased to the mortuary.

The Police have commenced investigations to apprehend those involved in the killing.

Residents in the area have called on the Police to speed up investigations and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
