The Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Volta Region has interdicted an Assistant Matron at Wovenu Senior High School (SHS) in Tadzewu following allegations of stealing food items intended for students.
The move follows the arrest of three individuals, including the Assistant Matron and a police officer, over an alleged diversion of the school’s food supplies.
According to a report by citinewsroom.com on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the Volta Regional Public Relations Officer of GES, Forgive Agoha, confirmed that preliminary checks had disclosed irregularities warranting a criminal investigation.
