Apprentice hairdresser discovered dead in her room

Takoradi, April 21, -GNA-Miss Rebecca Ahuma Nyamekeh, a 25-year-old apprentice hairdresser was found dead in her room at Double house on the Collins Avenue in Takoradi at 0730 hours on Friday.

Mr. Kojo Abakah, caretaker of the house told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the deceased, a native of Bonyire in the Jomoro district had not been seen in the house for the past three days.

He said early on Friday morning, other occupants of the house scented an offensive odour in the house and this was traced to Rebecca's room. Mr. Abakah said when residents forced the door open Rebecca was found dead on her bed.

Her corpse has been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital Mortuary for autopsy while the Market Circle Police are investigating the cause of death.
