Woman kills Nakaba Osofo daughter in Garden

Axim (W/R), July 27, GNA - The Town of Anwia in the Ellembenle District of the Western Region was on July 22 thrown into a state of mourning when a woman receiving treatment at a Nakaba Garden, a prayer camp, at Anwia, ran amok and butchered the daughter of the owner of garden to death.

The Nzema East District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police Dan Ohene-Djan, told the GNA that the woman, Awuraba Nyameke Amoah, aged 55, was being treated of mental problems at the camp by Osofo Esther Obaa Yaa.

Awuraba Amoah broke the chain on her leg, picked a cutlass in the kitchen and butchered the 8-year-old daughter of Osofo Yaa who was among some people sleeping on the compound.

The victim, Comfort Prah, was unconscious and was taken to the Eikwe Catholic Mission Hospital where she died. He said Awuraba Amoah been placed in police custody.
