Woman, 28, beaten to pulp

A 28-Year-Old Kenkey seller, Madam Ama Baffoah, was beaten to pulp by three women and a man for allegedly insulting their father, Opanyin Kwame Kumah.

Narrating her ordeal to Daily Guide, madam Baffoah said, “A few days ago, my father called me to his house and told me that Opanyin Kwame Kumah had lodged a complaint with him that I have verbally abused him.”

Madam Baffoah then told the father that the report could not be true because she could not even recall the last time she set her eyes on Opanin Kumah.

She went on to ask her father to plead with Opanyin Kumah for her a pardon even though deep in her heart, she was not at fault.

According to Madam Baffoah, the following day when she was on her way to town to sell her wares, she met four of Opanyin Kuma’s children who approached her threateningly while hurling insults at her.

She said when the four, Adwoa Faustina, Kwame Kumah, Mercy and Adwoa Henewaa got to where she was selling her wares; they pounced on her and beat her up till she became unconscious.

Ama Baffoah told Daily Guide that she regained consciousness on a hospital bed, only to realize that her left wrist had to be amputated to save her life.

Madam Baffoah said when she was discharged from the hospital, the matter was reported to the Nkornaza police and the four assailants were arrested and arraigned before the Techiman Circuit Court.

The assailants, therefore, failed to show up in court when the case was to be heard on another day.
