Two women arrested for possessing un-customed goods

Tema, July 24, GNA - The Tema Regional Police Command, has arrested two women Klufi Fiator, 22 and Charlotte Tetteh, 28, for possessing un-costumed goods.

The two during their arrest were in possession of 247 pieces of wax prints believed to be foreign prints from Togo.

According to the Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Jonathan Yakubu, about 3.30 on Monday, Police in Ada had a tip off that a boat was discharging goods in sacks at the river bank at a place called Alata.

He said the 12 sacks contained 247 pieces of wax prints and the two women claimed ownership.

According to him the goods were suspected to be un-customed goods and that the police would hand the suspects over to officials of the Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) after investigations. 24 July 06
