Two drivers fined for committing traffic offences.

Tema, Aug. 17, GNA- The Tema circuit court 'A' has imposed a total fine of three million cedis on two drivers who committed various motor offences at Ashaiman.

Kwabena Armah and Lawrence Adjewe pleaded guilty to stopping at unauthorised place to pick and alight passengers and causing traffic obstruction at Ashaiman. Each of the accused person was to pay 1.5 million cedis or nine months imprisonment.

The prosecution said on July 27, 2004, at about 1500 hours, policemen on patrol duties at Ashaiman met the two drivers picking passengers. The prosecution said the action of the drivers obstructed traffic on the road so the police arrested them.
