Three murder suspects due for court on Monday

Sunyani, May 14, GNA - Three suspects who allegedly beheaded a 12 year- old boy at Techiman for ritual purposes would be arraigned on Monday May 16, Superintendent Eric Amoako, Brong Ahafo Regional Police Crime Officer said on Friday.

He told the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani that the Police had resumed the interrogation of the suspects; Sumalia Yahaya, 32, Nimator Koula, 45 and Kwadwo Fosu, 28 to come out with the information that could assist the Police to unravel the mystery behind the killing.

Sumaila was arrested with the boy's head at Techiman last week, in the residence of a spiritualist where he allegedly went for rituals to become rich.

The spiritualist alerted the Police leading to the arrest of Sumaila.

Sumaila's two accomplices, Koula and Fosu who were on the run were arrested from their hide outs.

Sumaila initially told the Police that he got the human head from a corpse that had been buried at Kunsu, a farming community in Kintampo North Municipality .

An investigation by the Police however revealed that no child of that age had been buried in the town.

The police investigative team led by Superintendent Edmund Owusu Boampong, Kintampo Municipal Police Commander found a decomposed body covered with leaves at a village in the Atebubu-Amantin District and was handed over to the family for burial.
