Six residents have been injured in a terrifying robbery that has left the community gripped by fear.
The attack occurred on Monday evening, around 7:30 PM, in Bomfa Adumasa, where armed robbers on motorbikes targeted gold buyers in the Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to the Assembly Member, Andrew Agyapong, the assailants opened fire indiscriminately as they fled the scene.
A report by citinewsroom.com on October 21, 2025, detailed how stray bullets struck six residents, who sustained various degrees of injury and were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
This incident has raised concerns about security in the Bomfa Adumasa area.
Agyapong also confirmed that "two suspects have been arrested and handed over to the Konongo Divisional Police Command for further investigation."
The community is calling for increased police presence to prevent future attacks.
