Police have arrested the Senior Pastor of Graceland Sanctuary, Major Wisdom Nutsugah and two junior pastors over alleged ritualistic activities at Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to reports, the Senior Pastor, together with his two junior pastors, allegedly kidnapped six okada riders from Buduburam after inviting them to his residence for a meeting.
Preliminary information indicates that the pastor had earlier purchased motorbikes for the riders and accused them of poor sales, prompting the invitation.
However, the victims claim that upon arrival, they were locked in a dark room, threatened and forced to undress.
The pastor allegedly instructed one of his junior pastors to bring out a strange pot containing toffees from a secret room.
The victims allege that they were forced to consume the toffees and were threatened with harm if they disobeyed his orders.
One of the victims reportedly managed to escape and alerted the police, who later rescued the remaining victims and arrested the pastor along with his two assistants.
The suspects are currently in police custody at the Kasoa Divisional Police Command, assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, the Assembly Member for the Buduburam Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbe, has condemned the incident and urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure appropriate action is taken if the suspects are found guilty.
