A self-proclaimed pastor has run into trouble with the law for defrauding another person of his cash of GH¢ 3,200.00 under the pretext of getting him recruited into the Ghana Police Service.

Daniel Opoku Frimpong, 57, was on Wednesday put before a Kumasi Circuit Court, presided over by Mrs. Mary Nsenkyire, to answer for his crime.

He pleaded not guilty and was granted a GH¢ 40,000.00 bail with a surety and ordered to reappear on Tuesday, June 21.

Police Chief Inspector Hannah Acheampong told the court that the crime was committed in September, 2014.

The victim, Enoch Agyapong, had been introduced to the accused by one S.K. and paid to him a fee of GH¢ 3,200.00.

Frimpong after collecting the money went into hiding and was not heard of until his arrest by the police for a similar offence.
