Raped and raped again?

They say lightning does not strike twice at the same place. For one unfortunate employee of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning however, it has struck twice at exactly the same place.

Mr Kwame Kombiok, 26 is petitioning the IGP to intervene in an alleged rape case involving his wife and Sgt Major Kofi Groma of the Police Hospital. Sgt. Major Groma is the uncle of Mr Kombiok.

Narrating his story to the press, Mr Kombiok said his uncle raped his first wife an incident which led to the breakdown of that marriage. He then remarried and when he run into troubles with his present wife, his uncle stepped in to resolve the issue. Having resolved it, Sgt Groma, it is alleged invited the wife ostensibly for further advice only to rape her in his office.

According to Kombiok, his wife confessed the act before a Special Police Command which was chaired by Commissioner Opare-Addo about two months ago. He thus appealed to the IGP to expedite action on the case so as to bring Sgt Groma to book.
