The Ghana Police Service has presented a second suspect in the alleged murder of Stephen King Amoah of the Ghana Immigration Service to the Adabraka District Court.
Thomas Zigah was arraigned before the court on Friday, August 22, 2025, alongside the prime suspect, Bright Aweh, under heavy security.
This follows Aweh’s initial arraignment on Friday, August 8, 2025, when the court remanded him into custody for two weeks to allow further investigations.
The arrest of the second suspect aligns with earlier police indications that Bright Aweh may have acted in collaboration with others in the murder of Stephen King Amoah.
At a press briefing on Monday, August 4, 2025, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, provided chilling details of the crime.
According to her, Amoah left his home on the night of July 3, 2025, after reportedly receiving photos of cash bundles from Bright Aweh, who had promised to repay a debt.

When Amoah failed to return home and his phone became unreachable, a missing person report was filed on July 4, 2025. Police investigations quickly led to the arrest of Bright Aweh on July 6, 2025.
During interrogation, Aweh admitted to meeting Amoah and handing him GH¢500,000 in cash, claiming GH¢200,000 was to settle a debt, while the remainder was to be held by Amoah.
Although Aweh has reportedly denied any involvement in Amoah’s death, police say investigations uncovered incriminating evidence, including blood stains and signs of an attempted cleanup at the prime suspect’s residence.
