A mobile money vendor identified as Oldman Stephen has been killed by suspected armed robbers in his room at Choribang, a suburb of Bole in the Bole District of the Savannah Region.

Reports suggest the incident happened at about 10:30pm on Friday night but he was rushed to the Bole Government Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival following the severe gunshot wounds he suffered.

It is not clear if the robbers made away with any money of the deceased mobile money vendor who operates Bole zongo mosque off the Hospital road.

According to Bole-based Nkilgi Fm, this is not the first time a mobile money vendor has been targeted and shot at by unknown criminal gangs operating within Bole and its enclaves.

It would be recalled that on November 7, 2019 Haruna Konoduah popularly called Khiss Man was shot at in similar instance while returning home with his wife after close of work.

The bandits seized their bags and phones and demanded money when they realised the bags contained no money. The enraged robbers then shot Kiss Man in the arm when he said they had no money on them.

They bolted with their loot after the shooting attracted attention of residents in the area who thought it is related to the recurring chieftaincy disturbances.

His wife, was however lucky enough to be spared the gunshots.

The traumatized wife and her bleeding husband were immediately rushed to the Bole Government hospital, where Kiss Man was treated and discharged.
