Minister to meet private security practitioners

Accra, Nov .21, GNA- The Minister of Interior, Paapa Owusu Ankomah will hold his maiden meeting with the Association of Private Security Organisations of Ghana (APSOG), on Tuesday, November, 22 at the Police Headquarters, in Accra.

The meeting is expected to address pertinent issues affecting private security regulation and licensing and the future direction of the industry.

Other issues to be discussed include ways to enhance collaboration between private security service providers and the Ghana Police Service in the quest to combat crime and create a stable security climate conducive to attracting investment and promoting economic growth.

The Minister of Private Sector Development, Mr Kwamena Bartels, and top officials of the Police Service are expected to be part of the meeting.
