Man allegedly shoots son for smoking 'wee'

A-40-year-old farmer has allegedly shot his 17-year-old son in the leg for reportedly smoking marijuana popularly refereed to as wee at Abease near the Amenfi West district in the Western region.

The suspect, Yaw Nkrumah who is also a hunter, reportedly shot his son Sunday afternoon after he caught him smoking.

According to reports gathered by Nyankonton Mu Nsem, Yaw Nkrumah had warned his son several times to quit smoking. The victim the suspect had alleged, is also a thief who steals the money he uses to purchase the wee.

Yaw Nkrumah who had returned from hunting Sunday afternoon allegedly shot his son in the leg with his gun which he had gone hunting with.

The victim is currently on admission at the Wassa Government Hospital.

Meanwhile, his father [suspect] is at large.
