Labourer remanded for sodomizing a JSS student

Kumasi, June 16, GNA- A Kumasi Circuit Court has remanded a 20-year-old labourer into prison custody for allegedly sodomizing a Junior Secondary School (JSS) Student at Barekese. Kwame Faka pleaded guilty to the charge and will re-appear before the court on June 22 for sentence.
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) George Appiah-Serkye told the court presided over by Mr Richard Kogyapwah that the accused was given accommodation by victim's father (complainant in the case) and shares the room with the victim.
He said on June 9, this year the accused jumped on the victim when he was fast asleep and after tying him with a robe to the bedstead and had anal sex with him.
The accused after the act threatened the victim that he would kill him if he tells anyone about it.
ASP Appiah-Serkye said, accused, who could not stand the pain he was going through, disclosed the matter to his parents who in turn made a report to the police.
A medical form was issued to the victim undergo treatment at a hospital where it was confirmed that the victim had been abused by the accused.
Kwame Faka was then arrested and charged with the offence.
