Kade Court convicts an unemployed man

Kwadwo Ntiamoah, an unemployed man, was on Wednesday convicted by the Kade District Magistrate’s Court on his own plea for stealing personal belongings.

The court has however deferred sentence to February 28.

Police Inspector D.T Nartey told the court that the complainants Nartey Felix, Isaac Tettey and Georgina Ahenfo were palm wine tappers living in the same room at Akyem Wenchi.

He said on January 02, the complainants left home to the bush for their usual palm wine tapping and on return home detected theft of their properties, a bag containing cloth, a pair of jean trousers, a pair of canvas and cash of GH¢300 from their room.

Their investigations led to the arrest of Ntiamoah who confessed to stealing the items and led the Police to retrieve them minus the money and was charged and put before the court.
