Ghana Blind Union demands justice for raped Akropong student

The Executive Director of the Ghana Blind Union Dr Obeng Asamoah says the union will demand justice for the blind girl who was allegedly raped by a chaplain at the Akropong school for the blind.

Chaplain at the Akropong School for the Blind, Ebenezer Afful has been captured in a video raping a blind school in a classroom. The video was recorded by some students of the school who also took away the boxers of the chaplain as further evidence.

“When we caught the teacher sexually abusing the lady, we recorded the lady and she narrated what happened. We also got hold of the teacher’s boxer shorts which was in the classroom where the act was ongoing,” leader of the concerned students, Richmond, told Morning Starr host Francis Abban Thursday.

Commenting on the Development, Dr Asamoah said they will not rest until justice is served.

“I learnt about the situation this morning. I made some checks from the school and I am told some committee has been set up to look into the issue. We are following the issue keenly to see the outcome an this is because we have interest in the case,” he said.

The students who claim the chaplain is in the habit of abusing females students have vowed to take action if the authorities do not allow the matter to be reported to the police.

“As we speak, I am wanted by the school authorities. I am hiding somewhere on the school campus now because the teachers I am told are discussing me and they claim I have led to make this issue public”.
