Fred Glover wanted by the Police

Koforidua, Dec 22, GNA - The Eastern Regional Police Command has mounte= d a search for one Fred Glover, a security man, for stealing Gh31,380 cedis belonging to a cocoa buying company based in Suhum.

Briefing the GNA the Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, Chief Inspector Nketiah Yeboah, said on December 14, the company sent its cashier to the Suhum Branch of the Agriculture Development Bank to withdraw Gh87, 200. When the cashier took the money the suspect, who was providing security= , said the money was too much so some should be kept in his room. An amount o= f Gh31,380 was sent to his room for safekeeping.

The cashier and the suspect, who is a cousin of the company's owner, went on with the rest of the money to disburse for their operation. Chief Inspector Yeboah said in the course of the disbursement, Glover feigned to have received an emergency call and sought permission to meet a friend who had come from Burkina Faso. He said the suspect rushed to the house, took the money and had since not been seen. He is suspected to be hiding in either Sogakope, Aflao, Kumasi or Burkina Faso.
