Four people arrested in connection with the murder of a female farm labourer in Assin

The Central North Regional Police Command have arrested 4 suspects in connection with the recent murder of a 50-year-old woman at Assin Dansame in the Assin North District.

Two of the suspects who are said to be in their 20s from Swedru joined their counter parts in Assin Dansame, who are in the same year group to allegedly commit the heinous crime.

The deceased, Esi Gegiw was gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants at Assin Dansame on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 when she had left home for work around 3 am.

The single mother of two had her head smashed with an object and was hacked on the neck leading to her instant death.

After which the body parts such as the tongue, heart, and vagina were removed by the perpetrators.

The unfortunate incident was reported to the police at Assin Praso where they moved to the scene to convey the body to Francis Xavier Hospital Morgue in Assin Fosu pending investigation.
