Kwabena Aboagye has been arrested by police in connection with the death of his three-month-old infant at Dompoase/Aprabon.

According to police, the baby’s mother, Spendylove Aninwa, a WASSCE candidate, left the child in the care of the father on the morning of Monday, September 8, 2025, while she went to write her exam.

Upon her return, Aboagye’s younger sister handed the baby to her, saying the child was asleep.

The mother, however, realized the baby was unresponsive and rushed him to a clinic at Sokoban Wood Village, where he was pronounced dead.

Police investigators who visited the hospital said the baby was found wrapped in a sweater, with no visible marks on the body.

The remains have since been transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The suspect is currently in custody, assisting police with investigations.
