Farmer remanded for sodomy

Juaso (Ash), Aug 1, GNA - The Juaso circuit court has remanded a farmer, who is alleged to have had anal sex with his five-year-old son. Kofi Seth pleaded not guilty to three counts of sodomy, assault and causing harm and will re-appear in two weeks time. Police Inspector Joseph K. Amoabeng told the court presided over by Mr Jacob B. Boon that Seth lived with his son in the same room at Atwedie.

He said for almost two months the victim was not seen in the neighbourhood, compelling some of the neighbours to confront him about the whereabouts of the boy but he could not give any reasonable explanation.

However, a friend of Seth later detected that the victim was locked up in the accused person's room and informed the assemblyman who organised some people to force the door open. The prosecutor said the victim, who was found lying on a bed tied with a rope, said that Seth on several occasions had sex with him through the anus.

The victim further revealed that the accused inflicted blade wounds on his body anytime he resisted the act. Inspector Amoabeng said Seth was arrested and handed over to the Juaso police.
