Farmer defiles 13-year-old girl

Akyem Swedru (E/R), Nov. 6, GNA - The Akyem Swedru Circuit Court on Monday remanded Eric Kwabena Boateng, a 28-year-old farmer, for defiling a 13-year-old girl at Bosso Villa in the Birim North District. Boateng, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of defilement, would re-appear on November 14.

Police Chief Inspector Ben Osei Kwadwo told the court that Boateng invited the victim under the pretence of sending her but lured her to the outskirt of the community and defiled her. The victim informed her father about her ordeal and when he confronted Boateng his friends heckled him and pushed him into a gutter. The accused person was however arrested with the assistance of some good Samaritans and escorted to the police station.
