Nkawie (Ash), Aug 18, GNA - Sani Mohammed, a 21-year-old farmer was on Thursday granted bail in the sum of 20 million cedis by the Nkawie circuit court for removing and destroying posters of an aspiring assembly contestant at Nkawie in the Atwima-Nwabiagya district. He pleaded not guilty and will re-appear before the court on August 21. Police Inspector Ben Antwi told the court, presided over by Mr Noble Nkrumah, that Mr Enoch Afriyie was contesting for the Nkawie-Kuma electoral seat on the on-coming assembly elections and had duly posted his posters at vantage points in the electoral area. At about 0100 hours on August 12, one Kwaku Mensah was said to have spotted Sani removing and destroying Afriyie's posters which had been posted on concrete walls.
