Eastern Regional Police is ready for criminals - Commander

Koforidua, Dec. 16, GNA - The Eastern Regional Police Command has pledged their resolve to fight crime, especially during the Christmas festivities. It has therefore called on peace-loving Ghanaians to co-operate with them by giving relevant information that would help them track down criminals in the society.

The Regional Commander of Police, ACP Felix Asare-Darko, gave the assurance on Friday, when he met with divisional and district crime officers to map strategies in flushing out criminals in the region during the Christmas holidays.

He observed that due to intensive pursuit of criminals from the Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions, most of them had relocated to the Eastern Region as their new operational field and therefore called on the public to be vigilant.

ACP Asare-Darko cautioned drivers and other road users to adhere to traffic regulations to ensure accident-free Christmas. He said as part of their operation, the police would mount snap checks on the roads for over speeding and overloading.
