EX-CONVICT REQUESTS NSAWAM PRISON

An ex-convict recently pleaded with a circuit court at Kpando in the Volta Region to send him to Nsawam Medium Security Prison to serve a 13-year-jail sentence imposed on him for possessing Indian Hemp and stealing.

Osumanu Jika, 24, a driver with two previous convictions for stealing, pleaded not guilty to possessing Indian Hemp and stealing a motor cycle valued at c900,000.

The court presided over by Mr Robin Batu granted his request.
