Boy found dead with the body and head separated

Apam (C/R), Feb. 23, GNA - Fear has gripped the people of Manford in the Central Region following the discovery of the headless body of 11-year-old Joseph Anida on Wednesday. The Gomoa District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Philip Gamiah, said police had information that a body had been found without the head on the road between Mumford and Akyemfo on February 20. When police went to the scene they found the head lying a few meters away. He said police suspected foul play and are investigating and that four people are helping the Apam Police in their investigations. They are Madam Ekua Bentum, 35, mother of the deceased, Kofi Amoandah, 80, a fisherman based at Sekondi, Adjoa Yaba, 50, a farmer and Kow Arthur, all believed to be close relatives of the deceased at Mumford.
