Bantama robbers grabbed

Three suspected hoodlums that have been terrorizing residents of Bantama in Kumasi are in the firm grips of the law.

They were Emmanuel Agyeman, 19, Atta Samuel, 24 and Kwame Eric, 18, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Augustine Gyenning disclosed.

According to him, these three persons were known criminals that conducted their unlawful activities with guns and other weapons.

DCOP Gyenning stated that the trio usually attacked its unsuspecting victims with deadly weapons.

He said the suspects, who were hardened criminals, had managed to rob several people for some time now.

The police capo said the police managed to nail them at midnight on October 27 this year.

DCOP Gyenning stated that items including Ipad and necklaces, which he believed belonged to people they had robbed, were found on them.

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander expressed delight in the arrest of the three persons whom he described as deadly.

He said the arrested persons would soon be arraigned for the law to deal with them accordingly for their numerous crimes.

In a related development, DCOP Gyenning has disclosed that four suspected robbers that have been terrorizing students of KNUST have been grabbed.

He said the four normally operated at Ayeduase near KNUST but the police managed to arrest them.

DCOP Gyenning noted that the four suspects were also in police custody and they would be arraigned soon.
