Appeal Court dismisses case against Buipewura

Kumasi, Dec 23, GNA - An Appeal Court in Kumasi has dismissed an appeal brought against the Buipewura, Abdulai Jinapor II, by his overlord, the Yagbonwura.

The Yagbonwura and the Gonja Traditional Coucil had sought to nullify the re-instatement of the Buipewura by a Tamale High Court.

The three-member panel, however, upheld the high court's decision that the defendant was not given fair hearing before his de-skinment.
