Acid attack: Afoko screams at prosecutor in court

Gregory Afoko Gregory Afoko

Gregory Afoko, the lead suspect in the murder of the Upper East regional chair of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Adams Mahama today, Tuesday August 25, yelled at the police prosecutor handling his case in court.

Afoko in a surprise twist screamed: “stop lying against me” when he was being led to the police van after the court adjourned the case, Starr News’ court correspondent Wilberforce Asare reported.

The prosecutor, Superintendent Francis Baah, according to Asare expressed shock at the action.

Afoko's lawyer, however, failed to show up in court.

Gregory Afoko is standing trial for the acid attack that led to the death of Adams Mahama in May this year.
