A 40-year-old farmer Kwabena Agyabeng, has been murdered by an unknown assailant at Baamang, a suburb of Bonwire in the Ejisu Constituency.

According to the sister of the deceased, Attaa Pokuaah, Kwabena told her he is going to his farm on Wednesday May 9, but never heard of him till news of his death reached them the next day.

“When I tried to inquire whether he died today (Thursday), I was told it was yesterday (Wednesday)” she said.

"When we heard rumours of his death, we quickly informed the Bonwire police command and they transferred the case to the Ejisu Divisional command.”

“When we got to where he was murdered, we had an information that the Ejisu CID had already led some guys to carry the lifeless body of my brother to the mortuary without the consent of the family or even the elders in the community,” the sister of the deceased narrated.

Although some men who were with the deceased on the farm when the unfortunate happened told his family that a falling palm tree killed Kwabena, the family suspect he was murdered.
