That reminds me of some of the propaganda that the military and police made in 1966 that Kwame Nkrumah intend to abolish the army and police and replace them with Workers' Brigades.
The Workers' Brigades where then into construction, farming, food processing and marketing.
So it's interesting that the Ghana Army want to go into farming. Its a good thing, however. Life should not always be about marching and shooting, but also farming.

Lauded! This time around, I hope the Armed Forces will be allowed to take direct responsibility for it. Similar attention should be paid to the Field Engineer Regiment in respect of roads and bridges where in addition to earning something for the Armed Forces Central Fund, the Engineers can continue to hone their skills. As a retired officer, I know the military is the only institution that has the resources including well trained and disciplined personnel that can achieve whatever they set their eyes on.
